Senior Librarian, Librarian I and II B. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE - Professor
Applicants should possess a Ph.D degree from a recognised university, extensive and outstanding University Teaching and Administrative experience of at least ten years, evidence of leadership in research and successful supervision of postgraduate students. In addition, applicants must have outstanding research and scholarly publications in recognised and reputable national and international journals.
- Reader
As for Professor, but with at least eight years experience
- Senior Lecturer
As for Reader, but with at least five years experience
- Lecturer I
Applicants should possess a Ph.D degree from a recognised university or an acceptable relevant professional qualification, have evidence of substantial teaching and research experience and evidence of scholarly publications in recognised and reputable journals
- Lecturer II
Applicants should posess a Ph.D degree from a recognised University or an acceptable relevant professioinal qualifications.
- Asistant Lecturer
Applicants should posess either M.Phil. or Master’s degree by research from a recognised university.
- Librarian I/II
Applicants should possess Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Librarianship and Information Studies or equivalent from a recognised University and must be Computer Literate. Candidates for Librarian I must have adequate professional experience after a minimum of three years in an Academic Library or comparable institution in addition to evidence of research. Candidates with a Master’s degree in Librarianship and a Ph.D. from a recognised University but with less than three years experience may be considered.
- Senior Librarian
As for Librarian I, but with a minimum of five years professional experience with at least four publications. Candidates for Librarianship positions are required to have subject backgrounds in Science and the Social Sciences. C. SALARY
Bowen University operates a Salary Structure and Conditions of Service similar to what currently obtains in other Nigerian Universities.
